Lord Jesus, please hear my prayer for Mr. Shane Getson. Thank you so much for Shane and for his service in the province of Alberta and the communities of Lac Ste. Anne-Parkland. I pray that you would bless him and his family abundantly and that you would provide for their every need. I ask for wisdom and discernment for Shane in using his unique skills and talents for your glory. Let your will be done in and through him. Keep Shane and his family safe and healthy in the coming year. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
Shane Getson was elected on April 16, 2019. He currently serves on standing committees of the Legislative Assembly, including Resource Stewardship and the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund. Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly he spent 15 years in the construction industry, most recently in the position of project director. Prior to this he worked from 2008 to 2012 as senior manager of planning and execution for a private company in the energy sector. He attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), where he received a diploma in civil engineering technology in 1996. He and his wife have four children.
