Heavenly Father, please hear our prayer for Mr. Shane Getson. Thank you so much for Shane and his service to the people of the Lac St. Anne-Parkland region. Help Shane to use the unique skills and talents given to him to further your kingdom. Equip Shane with humility, wisdom, and knowledge appropriate for him to be a positive influence in his family, his community, and his government. We pray that Shane would hear and listen to your voice in his life. Keep Shane and his family safe this year. These things I pray in your precious and holy name. Amen.
Shane Getson was elected on April 16, 2019. He currently serves on standing committees of the Legislative Assembly, including Resource Stewardship and the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund. Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly he spent 15 years in the construction industry, most recently in the position of project director. Prior to this he worked from 2008 to 2012 as senior manager of planning and execution for a private company in the energy sector. He attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), where he received a diploma in civil engineering technology in 1996. He and his wife have four children.
