Sharon Hartwell is the MLA for Bulkley Valley-Stikine, elected in 2024 as a member of the Conservative Party of British Columbia. She serves in the Official Opposition and is the party’s critic for rural infrastructure and rural development. Prior to provincial politics, she was involved in municipal government, including serving as mayor of Telkwa for 12 years. Hartwell has also worked with local and national municipal organizations on issues such as infrastructure and healthcare services. She was born and raised in the Bulkley Valley region and has been active in community and business roles in that area.
