MLA Teresa Wat, Richmond North Centre

Heavenly Father, thank you for MLA Teresa Wat, our Richmond Centre official opposition critic for Multiculturalism. Please give her creative wisdom as she works in the area of Multiculturalism and with Children and Youth. Use her own cultural roots and experience, communications and media background, to continue to bring unity and inclusivity in the Chinese, Punjabi, and multicultural communities she is working within. Teresa Wat was elected MLA  for Richmond Centre in 2013 and re-elected in 2017. Teresa is currently the official opposition critic for Multiculturalism and is a Member of the Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth. In 2013, Teresa received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award for her community service work. In 2010, she was appointed to the Canadian Women Voters Congress Advisory Board and was recognized as one of B.C.’s top 100 most influential women by the Vancouver Sun. She is also currently a board member of the school of journalism at UBC.
