MLA Teresa Wat, Richmond North Centre (Demo)

We thank you God for MLA Teresa Wat, and we ask for your continued anointing upon her as she serves her constituency and legislature and in her role as MLA.  Grant her all she needs to carry out her responsibilities. Care for Ms. Wat and her family in all their comings and goings this autumn. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.

Teresa Wat was elected MLA  for Richmond Centre in 2013 and re-elected in 2017.Teresa was the president and CEO of Mainstream Broadcasting Corporation CHMB AM1320 and has also served as the news director at Channel M Television (now OMNI TV), and previously served as a communications advisor at B.C.’s Cabinet Policy and Communications Secretariat. In 2015, Princess Astrid bestowed Wat with the Grand Officer of the Order of the Crown, one of the highest decorations from the Kingdom of Belgium.

Teresa was instrumental in the launch of B.C.’s first-ever live Cantonese, Mandarin and Punjabi daily television news programs. In 2013, Teresa received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award for her community service work. In 2010, she was appointed to the Canadian Women Voters Congress Advisory Board and was recognized as one of B.C.’s top 100 most influential women by the Vancouver Sun. She is also currently a board member of the school of journalism at UBC.
