MLA Thomas Dang, Edmonton-South

Thank you, Father, that Thomas is pursuing the interest in politics that You placed in his heart. We thank You for his sensitivity towards racism, his speaking out against cyber-bullying, and being a vocal advocate for refugees. For being the youngest MLA ever to be elected in Alberta, we thank you that he is able to see the bigger picture. May he use that gift to help solve problems in his sphere of influence. We bless him with favour in his interaction with others in his party and in the other parties.  We ask for wisdom for him and that he operates out of a servant’s heart continuing to put the interests of his constituents as a high priority. Amen……

Thomas Dang was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the constituency of Edmonton-South West, in 2015.  He served as a member of the Standing Committee on the Alberta Heritage Savings Trust Fund, the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services and the Standing Committee on Resource Stewardship. He also previously served as a member of the Standing Committee on Private Bills.  Prior to serving with the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Dang worked in software development while pursuing a degree in computing science at the University of Alberta. Throughout his youth, he has been an activist and advocate for social policy and student issues.  Mr. Dang was born and raised in Edmonton.
