Father in Heaven we lift up before You Travis Toews, we ask that You would give him the wisdom and the strategies to fulfill his position as Minister of Finance and the Treasury Board committee; which he serves on representing the people of Alberta in the Alberta legislature. We ask You to bless Travis Toews, his family and those that are close and dear to his heart. May he have an encounter with You as You move within his soul and life, bring opportunities for him to recognize You as his personal saviour. Travis Toews was elected and sworn in as President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance in April 2019. Mr. Toews has been managing director and co-owner of Melbern Group, a corporate family cattle ranching operation and an oil field environmental company, since 2002. He holds a CPA, CMA accounting designation and spent 12 years in a public accounting practice prior to pursuing business interests. Mr. Toews served as finance chair for the Alberta Beef Producers and director of the Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance. In 2012 he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, for contributions to Canadian agriculture and trade. A lifelong resident of Alberta, Toews and his wife live in the Grande Prairie region and have three children and seven grandchildren. He enjoys downhill skiing and fly-fishing.
