Father, we are thankful for MLA Wab Kinew. You have given him creativity and a desire to make a difference in his constituency of Fort Rouge and for all Manitobans. Wab Kinew is the Leader of the Manitoba New Democratic Party and was re-elected to represent Fort Rouge in 2019. Before entering politics, he was a musician, broadcaster and university administrator, best known as a host of programming on CBC Radio an CBC Television. He graduated from the University of Winnipeg Collegiate and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Manitoba. Kinew is married to Lisa, a family physician who practices medicine at an inner-city clinic, and has two sons from a previous relationship.
