Lord God, as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, we pray for Senator Casey as he assists those who suffered the effects of serving in armed conflict. Bless him as a federal MP in his travels between home and Ottawa. May his home life be a true anchor for him. It is written that greater love has no man than that he gives his life for his friends (Jn. 15:13). May Senator Casey see those whom he serves in this light. May he himself know the upholding and companionship of the One who gave Himself for us. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
