Lord, today we pray for Amanda Simard and her willingness to serve the people of Glengarry-Prescott-Russell. We thank you for her passion to represent the French Speaking people of the province. Help her to work well with people of her party and others so that good government may happen and Ontario may be blessed. Bless her family as she is away more now as an MPP. We ask this all in Jesus name. Amen.
MPP Amanda Simard was elected to represent the largely francophone riding of Glengarry-Prescott-Russell. While a student at the University of Ottawa, she served as a Page in the Canadian Senate. Simard is fluently bilingual in French and English. Before her election, she sat as a municipal councillor in her hometown of Russell, Ontario, for four years before she ran provincially.
