MPP Donna Skelly, Flamborough-Glanbrook

Father in Heaven, we pray that You would bless MPP Donna Skelly of the Flamborough-Glanbrook riding. Lord, we pray she would have a clear view of what needs to be done to improve job creation and trade. We pray for her to have wisdom and knowledge of these topics to create more jobs and fair trade. We pray for her peace of mind and heart as she serves. May she also have a good balance between her home and work life. Please provide the insight she needs for Your Will to be done in the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade. We pray any obstacles would be removed that stand in the way of good change in these areas. In Jesus’ name, Amen………

Donna grew up in Northern Ontario before moving to Toronto to study broadcasting. Donna entered politics after a successful 30-year career in broadcast journalism. During that time Donna produced and hosted current affairs programming and journalism. She held leadership roles including advocacy before the CRTC and Parliamentary Committees, serving as President of the Local Union for the employee bargaining unit and the founding of a leading-edge digital news service. In March 2016, Donna was elected to Hamilton City Council, and as MPP she has been appointed as the Parliamentary Assistant (PA) to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. Donna has volunteered her time on numerous boards and agencies both at the local and federal level. She has been recognized widely for her contribution to her community and was named Woman of the Year in Politics and Public Affairs by the YWCA. Donna lives in the riding of Flamborough-Glanbrook with her two sons Dane and Cole.
