Dear Lord Jesus, You have so delighted for MPP Doug Downey to serve the people who dwell in and work in the riding of Barrie-Springwater-Oro-Medonte. May You grant Doug the wisdom, grace and integrity he requires in order to serve the people well. Your Word tell us that “The path of the righteous is level; You, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth.” Today, we come together as one in You, to ask that You smoothen the path set before Doug, so that through his work he is able to bring peace and prosperity to this region. Lord God, I pray, that You would encounter Doug and his family with Your Love. Strengthen them in their faith and conviction in You. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
Doug Downey was born and raised in Simcoe County. He is a lawyer and former host of his show, Politically Speaking, on Rogers TV. His wife Jen and his two kids, Andrew and Jane are excited about serving their communities.
