MPP Jim Wilson, Simcoe—Grey

Lord, today we lift up to you Jim Wilson. We thank you for a man that has given his whole life to serving the people of Ontario in many roles. We honour him for his service. We pray, Lord, that he would be given many opportunities to mentor and help young members of Provincial Parliament. It is not easy being an MPP and many can learn from him. We ask this all in Jesus name. Amen……

Currently the longest-serving Member, alongside two other MPPs, Wilson was first elected to the Ontario Legislature in 1990. At Queen’s Park, Jim has served as Ontario’s Minister of Health; Minister of Energy, Science and Technology; Minister of Northern Development and Mines; Minister of the Environment. He has also served as an interim party leader as well as House Leader and Leader of the Opposition. Jim currently sits in the House as an Independent Member.
