Heavenly Father, we thank you for Lorne Coe. We are grateful for his diligent involvement in legislative financial matters, and for his many years of faithful public service in his community. In these days of looking toward life in a post-pandemic world, we ask You to guide and lead him in this season of new beginnings. Shower Lorne with your abundant blessings as he continues to serve the people of Whitby, and give a great blessing to his family as they support him in this role. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Lorne Coe serves the people of Whitby. This is Lorne Coe’s second term in office with the Progressive Conservative party of Ontario. Prior to his election as MPP in a 2016 bi-election and again in 2018, Lorne served on the Whitby Town Council and at Durham Regional Council for thirteen years. Currently, Lorne serves as the Chief Government Whip and as a Member of the Standing Committee on Regulations & Private Bills. Lorne Coe and his family have called Whitby their home for over thirty years. Over his career, he has held senior positions in both the private sector and the Ontario Government, where he worked as a Senior Manager, Communications at the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Finance and Seniors’ Affairs. Lorne also served the community by volunteering his time with a number of different organizations including the Whitby General Hospital, Whitby Chamber of Commerce, Whitby Sports Hall of Fame, and the Whitby Sunrise Rotary Club.
