MPP Sol Mamakwa, Kiiwetinoong

Our Father in Heaven we come before You in prayer for Sol Mamakwa. We ask in Your name Jesus for his protection and guidance as he serves the First Nation people of Ontario. Lord, we pray that You would work in and through Mr. Mamakwa in serving the First Nations people with love. Help him to be a strong leader, and voice for them. We pray for unity between the government and the First Nations. May Sol serve the purpose of his office in accordance with Your will and plans, Lord. May You bless him as he serves the riding of Kiiwetinoong. We thank You for Sol, and we pray You would put people in his company that will help him and encourage him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sol Mamakwa was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2018 provincial election. He is a Kingfisher Lake band member and a resident of Sioux Lookout who speaks and understands Oji-Cree. Sol is Co-chair of the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre and has also been actively involved with the Sioux Lookout First Nation Health Authority, Sioux Lookout Physicians Regional Services, and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. As the lead health advisor for the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation, Sol has worked alongside federal and provincial representatives to transform the way health care is delivered to the NAN territory by improving service delivery throughout the riding.
