Father, every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from You of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. You are faithful in all Your ways. We thank You for MPP Will Bouma who is a gift to his riding. We ask for Your favor to be upon him during this new season. There is a time for everything and for every activity so we speak increased courage, wisdom and knowledge. May You be his strength and guide as he provides leadership in the riding of Brantford. Born on a dairy farm in Rinsumageest, a small village in The Netherlands, Bouma grew up in Forest, Ont., near Sarnia. After high school, Bouma went to the University of Waterloo and earned a science degree.
Bouma then went to school in Michigan where he earned his doctor of optometry degree. After establishing a practice in Michigan, Bouma and his wife, Joni, moved their family to St. George, where he established a practice at an office in a Main Street building that doubled as their home. They returned to Ontario to be close to their aging parents.
The Boumas have five children: Lena, Titus, Elijah, Jack and Ella. Earlier this year, they moved to a century home on High Street, just a short walk from his practice.
