Heavenly Father, we thank You for Premier Doug Ford’s willingness to serve the people of Ontario. A calling like this is extremely challenging – physically, emotionally and spiritually and we pray for Your protection on his life. We pray a special blessing on his marriage; Lord, be with Karla his wife, and his daughters. Let this time be one that brings them closer as a family, and we pray that they would be united in love and courage. We pray for wisdom for our Premier, for direction and vision. Help him to hear and act in love. Let good people be put around him, to give him wise council. Protect him from the darts of the enemy. Fill him with Your Spirit so that he can continue this difficult task with Your strength and power. Let his time in office be a blessing to the people of Ontario, and we pray that he would lead his government through difficult times with courage. Doug Ford is the Premier of Ontario. He was also elected as the MPP for Etobicoke-North in 2018. Previously, he served as Toronto city councillor from 2010-2014, and was vice-chair of the Budget Committee. Three generations of Fords have served the people of Ontario in elected office. Doug is a life-long resident of the community of Etobicoke, and lives there with his wife Karla and four daughters.
