Premier Jason Kenney, Calgary-Lougheed

Father today we bring our Premier Jason Kenney before your throne of grace and we ask that you bless him as he leads our province through these challenging times.  Lord give him great wisdom and grace in all that he does. We are thankful for his willingness to lead us through these last months for the good of all Albertans and we pray you will use him for your glory.  In Your powerful name. Amen.

Jason Thomas Kenney PC MLA is a Canadian politician, currently serving as the 18th Premier of Alberta, serving since 2019, and leader of the United Conservative Party in Alberta since 2017. He was the last leader of the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta, before the party’s merger with the Wildrose Party and subsequent dissolution later that year. He was elected the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for Calgary-Lougheed in a by-election held on December 14, 2017. Premier Kenney began working in politics in the early 1990s as President of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation and in 1997 was elected to Parliament. Mr. Kenney served as Minister for Multiculturalism for eight years in Prime Minister Harper’s government and became Canada’s longest-serving Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. From 2013 to 2015 Mr. Kenney served as Minister of Employment and Social Development,  and in 2015, he served as Minister of National Defence.
