Our Father in Heaven, we give You thanks for our elected representatives in local government. Even though we cast the votes, we recognize Your sovereignty and we lift up Senator Jane MacAdam. We ask that You give her a heart for accountability, as a blessing to those she serves, that she might glorify You in a powerful way. Thank You for her heart of service, and for the fruit she has borne because of it. May You bless her family and protect it. It’s in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
The Honourable Jane MacAdam, FCPA, CA, was appointed to the Senate of Canada in May 2023.
She previously served as Auditor General of Prince Edward Island from 2013 to 2020, where she led independent audits to strengthen accountability and best practices in government operations. A chartered professional accountant, she has over 40 years of experience in legislative auditing with the PEI Office of the Auditor General. She has been active in professional organizations, including the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors and the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation. Her contributions to the profession were recognized with a Fellow designation from CPA Prince Edward Island. Beyond her professional work, Senator MacAdam has volunteered in her community through minor league sports, home and school associations, local co-operatives, and her church. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from UPEI and, with her husband, is a longtime resident of Morell, with three adult children and six grandchildren.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
