Righteous God, we thank You for Jane’s commitment to truth and stewardship. In the Senate, may she use her background in accounting to help address waste and mismanagement where she has influence. May her tenure as an Island senator be marked by truth and faithfulness (1 Cor. 4:2). Above all, grant her the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.
The Honourable Jane MacAdam, FCPA, CA, was appointed to the Senate of Canada in May 2023.
She previously served as Auditor General of Prince Edward Island from 2013 to 2020, where she led independent audits to strengthen accountability and best practices in government operations. A chartered professional accountant, she has over 40 years of experience in legislative auditing with the PEI Office of the Auditor General. She has been active in professional organizations, including the Canadian Council of Legislative Auditors and the Canadian Audit and Accountability Foundation. Her contributions to the profession were recognized with a Fellow designation from CPA Prince Edward Island. Beyond her professional work, Senator MacAdam has volunteered in her community through minor league sports, home and school associations, local co-operatives, and her church. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from UPEI and, with her husband, is a longtime resident of Morell, with three adult children and six grandchildren.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
