Leading Influence has navigated the faith-political interface for almost 15 years. It’s been an exciting and educational experience as we’ve walked the fine line of delivering chaplaincy ministry to political leaders across Canada while remaining steadfastly non-partisan and not engaging in lobbying or other forms of political ‘arm-twisting.’
We’ve learned that people of faith can have a respected voice and presence in the political arena if we’re willing to take a different approach: serving those who serve us. We want to talk about that (a lot!) here.
So, welcome to Influence Matters, a new series of original posts to help the faith community engage with politicians in respectful, proactive, and value-adding ways.
There will be a couple of posts a month coming your way. At times we’ll be provocative; other times, we’ll be reflective.
More than anything, we want to help our readers and followers to become people of meaningful influence in their world because we believe that ‘influence matters!‘
